Echinacea stimulates both white blood cells, which attack viruses and natural killer cells, which destroy virus-infected cells. At the first sign or symptoms of a cold take one teaspoonful of echinacea tincture (look for an non-alcoholic liquid if you have any problem with alcohol or for children), every hour for 6 to 8 doses.

Elderberry is another healing herb that help boost your immunity, that can be taken along with echinacea.
